If you are under the age of 16 and feel that you have the artistic talent that it takes, then why not participate in “Youth and the Oceans – The Artworks Competition”. Children and students from Primary and Secondary schools are encouraged to create paintings, drawings or computer graphics which fall under any one of seven different themes related to the sea.

There are lots of great prizes to be given out! Three attractive prizes will be awarded to the winning artworks, together with a number of performance token gifts on content and originality.

The best contributions will be short-listed at first by a selection committee, and presented on this website for the final choice of the winning artworks by online voting. Tell all your friends and family members to visit this website again in August to view the artworks and to vote their favourite one.

….And that's not all!! A number of contributions will be chosen to subsequently participate in an international competition to be organised by the International Ocean Institute (IOI). You will be with other kids and youngsters worldwide. The winners will be published in the second issue of IOI's album “Children and the Sea”, which will be distributed in various countries around the world. Can you imagine that?? Here is your opportunity to possibly have your works seen not only by other kids and youth in Malta, but also by other kids and youth around the world!!
