Pollution

Pollution from vessels – A significant number of oil tankers still clean their tanks out in the open sea. Oil damages directly a large fraction of marine life, especially marine mammals, such as seals, and birds, but also on filter-feeding marine organisms. Other forms of pollution from vessels include plastics thrown overboard, sewage from cruise liners and disused nets from fishing nets.
